Jack Walker
Candidate
for Seat 6
Sunnyvale
City Council
Jack Walker is a former Sunnyvale Mayor and Councilmember who has
lived in the City for over twenty years. Jack is a Project Manager with a local
hi-tech company. He was also Chair of
the Sunnyvale Chamber of Commerce, a former homeowner’s association president,
and a planning commissioner. Jack is a very intelligent guy who understands
city government and the budget process.
When Jack votes, he puts the residents of Sunnyvale first and does what is
best for them, not for him -- as so many other Councilmembers have done in the
past. We see that most of his money has come from individuals in Sunnyvale, and
this is something that SpecialInterestWatch certainly approves of. Jack took
some special interest money totaling about $1,600, which is relatively small
for Sunnyvale. But it is nothing compared to what one of his opponents took
from special interests. And that
opponent has a union (special interest!) sending out campaign flyer after
campaign flyer including some with negative and misleading messages. How many
of Jack’s opponent’s flyers have littered your mailbox?
