SUNNYVALE PUBLIC SAFETY OFFICERS ASSOCIATION (“PSOA”)
Wow, what can we say? Follow the
money trail on this one, and you will see that certain receptive incumbents received HUGE
contributions, in-kind donations, fundraisers, mailers, and who knows what else
from PSOA? But, it did pay off. These officers boosted their already
six-figure compensation over 28% over the last four years, twice what the
private sector paid. That’s about
$30,000 more for the average public safety officer (buys a lot of new toys)
despite the fact that Sunnyvale fell from the 5th safest city to 38th
during this time! Just keep those large contributions and campaign flyers coming
for the incumbents, and maybe there will be another 28% in raises coming your
way over the next four years!
